Privacy

What we collect

Your account details: email address and password (stored as a hash — we never see the plain text). For each connected site: its URL, the plugin, theme and core versions we inventory, uptime and response-time measurements, SEO and broken-link results, homepage screenshots, and scan history. If you use auto-install, the WordPress admin credentials you provide. Basic operational logs (timestamps, IP addresses) needed to run and secure the service.

How it's protected

All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS. WordPress credentials you store with us are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and requests between our servers and your sites are signed with per-site HMAC secrets. Access to production data is restricted to people who need it to operate the service.

Deletion

Remove a site and its stored data goes with it. Delete your account and everything — sites, scan history, screenshots, stored credentials — is permanently erased within 30 days. Email us if you'd like us to handle deletion for you.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't read your sites' content beyond what the features you use require. We don't use your data to train machine-learning models.

Cookies

We use only the cookies required to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies — which is why there's no cookie banner.

Terms

The service is provided as-is

Geco WPM is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard to keep the service reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Your responsibilities

You confirm you're authorized to manage every site you connect, and you indemnify us against claims arising from sites you connect without authorization. You're responsible for maintaining your own backups: Geco WPM is a management tool, not a backup service, and rollbacks are not a substitute for backups. Keep your account credentials secure and tell us promptly if you suspect a breach.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim — which for free accounts is £0. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change is material we'll email account holders before it takes effect; continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
